This year at East we will be providing assistance to needy families by way of the Angel Food ministries and various gift cards. If you are interested in helping either of these causes, please let you know. We, at East, hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday season. Welcome Back! Well, it's that time again. We are excited about this upcoming year and all that it has to offer. We begin our PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventin Support) and need you to help reinforce what we are trying to do. Open House will be August 24 6-8. We hope to see you there!

We are close to the finish of another wonderful year at East. Please be checking those weekly progress reports--remember, the ones we send home EVERY Tuesday on yellow paper. OK, we are up and going with PBS--Positive Behavior Support! We are stressing two items this year: walk on right side of the hallway and "hands raised, mouths closed" to get their attention without using loud voices. We have also adopted a motto for next year: Falcon PRIDE

Promote positive school environment
Respect yourself and others
Improve academics
Demonstrate personal responsibility
Educate yourself for the future

Please help us by sharing this with your child and reinforcing these expectations at home.

We are starting PBS at East. Positive Behavior Support will help with the consistency of our behavior plan. It will stress rewards for good behavior as well as the teaching of what is acceptable. Please share any of your comments on this. We need your help and support with this.

Parents--Welcome to blogging! If your kids are like mine, they are way ahead of me in technology. This can be your way of trying to catch up with them as well as post comments to help East become the best middle school in the state!
